Bilbao is the capital city of the Vizcaya province. Founded at the beginning of the 14th century, it has a beautiful Old Quarter that boasts a Gothic cathedral and a magnificent City Hall Building. It is the industrial and financial center of País Vasco. Although listed as the capital of the mission, the actual mission office is located in Las Arenas, a small city just outside of Bilbao.
